We’ve found that some of our\u00a0patients greatly appreciate this orthodontic option versus traditional braces.<\/strong><\/p>\n Using gradual force clear aligners gently move teeth into alignment\u00a0without the use of metal wires or brackets.<\/strong>\u00a0Clear aligners are made with a very strong plastic material that is fabricated specifically to fit the patient’s teeth. As treatment progresses the patient switches aligners. Each aligner is slightly different than the aligner before it. In this way, the\u00a0teeth are moved a little with each aligner.<\/strong>\u00a0It is recommended that the patient wear his or her aligner for twenty-hour each day. New\u00a0aligners are switched out approximately every two weeks.<\/strong><\/p>\n For our patients who\u00a0want a straighter smile but do not want to wear metal bracket braces<\/strong>, or for patients who have had braces but want to make minor corrections to their smile, clear aligners are a fantastic option. They’re extremely simple to keep clean, which makes it easier to maintain healthy gums and teeth. They are less likely to irritate gums and cheeks.\u00a0They prevent wear and tear on your teeth from tooth grinding<\/strong>.
