What is laser skin rejuvenation?<\/h2>\n

Laser skin rejuvenation is a non-invasive procedure that combats the signs of \u201cactinic\u201d or sun related aging. Traditional surgical techniques remove the extra skin, which is the result of the passage of time and stretching. Laser skin rejuvenation addresses changes in the fabric of that skin, the fine wrinkles and irregular pigmentation caused by the sun and other light sources.<\/p>\n

What are my laser skin rejuvenation options?<\/h2>\n

ActiveFX. With a single treatment, this fractional laser rejuvenation procedure offers real results with little downtime. The skin is tightened by the use of a high-energy beam of laser light that effectively reduces lines, scars, and wrinkles. It is also effective in removing brown spots and other skin irregularities. With this treatment, small \u201cbridges\u201d of untouched skin are left since only a fraction of the skin\u2019s surface is treated. Am I a good candidate for laser skin rejuvenation?<\/h2>\n

Anyone who is healthy may be a good candidate for this procedure. During your consultation, you will need to inform Dr. Price if you have experienced any of the following:<\/p>\n

  • Blood clotting problems<\/li>\n
  • Tendency to scar<\/li>\n
  • An infectious disease such as HIV or hepatitis<\/li>\n

    You will also have to protect your skin from the sun before your actual treatment. A patient with sunburned or tanned skin is not a candidate for laser skin rejuvenation.<\/p>\n

    What kind of recovery is involved with laser skin rejuvenation?<\/h2>\n

    Depending on the individuals skin type and laser used, recovery may be as short as a day.
