COVID-19 Update

Dear Dental Care of Riverside Family:

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the past year and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the safety procedures we will be following that have been recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

The process of lifting COVID-19 restrictions in the community will be like the turning of a dial rather than flip of a switch, we ask the same patience from you all while we transition to opening our office post Covid. You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:

• Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions through our SMS communication where you will be asked to fill out a wellness form. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office.

• Only patients being treated will be allowed inside the practice.

• Patients will be required to wear a face covering (does not need to be a medical-grade mask) from their home.

• Curbside check-in: To help keep our office safe we ask that you text us once you have arrived. Please wait in your parked car until we are ready to see you. This will allow us the ample time to follow our safety protocol while preparing the room for the next patient.

• We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office.

• Patients will be screened with a no contact thermometer. Anyone with a temperature greater than 99.1F will be asked to return home. After clearing screening, patients will be escorted directly to their treatment room.

• Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment for the next few months.

• Patients will be asked to pay their copay prior to their appointment by phone or our new text to pay feature.

• We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.

Therefore, as of today, we remain optimistic. We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, our staff, and every patient, safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call our office at (951) 683-1600.

Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends.

Sincerely,

DR. ARCHANA SHETH
